The rules for using South Explorer and booking experiences run by independent operators.

What South Explorer is
South Explorer is an online marketplace that connects travelers and travel agencies with independent adventure and nature operators in Latin America. We publish their experiences, process bookings and payments, and support both sides; the operator is the provider of the service.
Bookings
A booking request becomes a confirmed booking when the operator accepts it and, for direct bookings, when the payment is approved. Experiences marked “Instant confirmation” are confirmed as soon as the payment is approved.
You must give accurate information about every traveler, including any health condition or requirement relevant to the activity.
Prices are shown in US dollars per person and include the taxes indicated on each experience. Your bank may apply exchange or international fees.
Payments
Payments are processed by authorized payment providers. Unpaid bookings hold seats only for a limited time and are released automatically afterwards.
Agencies with a credit agreement pay according to the terms of their account.
Operator responsibility
Each operator is responsible for running its experience safely, holding the licenses and insurance required in its country, and following the itinerary as described. South Explorer reviews operators before publishing them but does not run the activities.
Traveler responsibility
Adventure activities involve risk. Read the difficulty level, the “Before you go” information and the guide’s instructions, and make sure you have adequate travel and health insurance.
The operator may refuse to start or continue an activity for safety reasons, such as weather or a traveler’s condition.
Changes and cancellations
Cancellations by travelers follow the policy shown on each experience (see our cancellation policy). If the operator cancels, you receive a full refund or an alternative date of your choice.
Liability
South Explorer is liable for the correct processing of your booking and payment. Within the limits allowed by law, the operator is liable for the delivery of the service. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer protection law (in Argentina, Law 24,240).
Agencies and operators
Agencies and operators accept additional commercial terms in their contract with South Explorer, which prevail over these terms in case of conflict.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Consumers may bring claims before the courts of their own domicile.
