Overview
A narrow opening in a farm field hides one of Brazil's most surprising caves. You abseil 72 metres on a single rope, past the opening's daylight shaft, until you land on a floating platform above a vast underground lake.
After a boat tour among stalactites, you snorkel over the clear lake to see underwater limestone cones rising from the depths. The climb back up uses a self-ascent system with guides alongside. Certified divers can upgrade to a scuba descent.
