Overview

Teyuna, known as Ciudad Perdida, was built by the Tayrona people around 800 AD and lay hidden in the jungle until the 1970s. Reaching it means 47 km of jungle trail, river crossings and steep climbs through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Along the way you pass Wiwa and Kogi communities and sleep in open-sided camps with hammocks or bunks. On day three you climb 1,200 stone steps to the terraces of the Lost City, shrouded in mist and surrounded by forest.
