Overview
Swap the motorboat for a sit-on-top kayak and explore the tributaries of the Madre de Dios at water level, where kingfishers, capybaras and river dolphins are easier to approach in silence.
During the dry season wide sand beaches appear along the river, and that's where you camp, with a fire, a cooked dinner and a sky full of stars. A support boat carries the camp and follows the group.
